LARGE LOOP UPEX 740 M
Large loop detector UPEX 740 M

The UPEX 740 M large loop technology enables low skilled personnel to locate air delivered ordnance buried at depth. It is introduced into battle area clearance where large areas have to be inspected and cleared of munitions in short time. It is ideal for road clearance of UXO and A/T mine traps.

The UPEX 740 M applies the eddy current Pulse Induction principle for the detection of metal components in UXOs.

The equipment consists in an electronics box, a battery container, a large loop diameter 2600 mm with search frame and a ring coil diameter 260 mm.

The frame PVC-100 can be assembled several ways, which enables to obtain frames from different sizes (1 x 1 m, 1 x 2 m or 1,5 x 2,5 m), according to the searched targets and the burying depth. The ring coil, working with the same electronics, is used for pin-point location, after detection with the large loop.

The UPEX 740 M is as easy to use as a conventional mine detector. Detection signals are easy to interpret and no advanced training is required for operation. The unit is splash-waterproof and of sturdy design. The target acquisition is indicated by audio alarm and on a galvanometer.

The device can be adjusted to various types of non cooperative soils and to suppress surface bound small metal scrap.

Detection results can be stored in a Data Logger for plotting or further processing by software.

VEHICULE MOUNTED DETECTION SYSTEM
Vehicle mounted detection system

This vehicle supported mine and UXO detection system is a further development of the UPEX 740 M large loop. It enables connecting roads and the areas adjacent to these roads to be rapidly examined for weapons containing metal.

It gives real time audio alarm, but also allows the connection to a recording system with GPS positioning (to realize maps).

The photo shows a GPS referenced measurement recording system with 3 UPEX 740 M large loops in the front and 8 MAGNEX 120 magnetometer probes in the rear.
